January 2019 (part 1)

Happy 2019, all.
Hope your new year is treating you beautifully so far.

I am posting again here after an extended break from posting on this site (just felt like the right time, I guess. New years are useful in this way).

A few pieces of recent and upcoming news to share, and I’ll start with the one that is most immediate:

I’m partipating in a kickass project kicking off on Monday, January 14th at Joe’s Pub –THE PUSSY GRABBER PLAYS: STORIES INSPIRED BY THE WOMEN WHO CAME FORWARD.

More information & tickets are available here: https://www.thepussygrabberplays.com

I’m honored to be joining playwrights Julia Brownell, Halley Feiffer, Sharyon Kenny, Melissa Li, Sharyn Rothstein, Natasha Stoynoff, Bess Wohl, and Anna Ziegler in writing short plays, *almost* all inspired by women who bravely came forward and are (also bravely) sharing their story with this project — Rachel Crooks, Tasha Dixon, Jill Harth, Samantha Holvey, Jessica Leeds, Natasha Stoynoff, and Karena Virginia. (My piece is actually inspired by the women who chose to not come forward.)

The plays are directed by Jaki Bradley, Katherine M. Carter, Sarna Lapine, Lila Neugebauer, Tyne Rafaeli, Laura Savia, Mei Ann Teo, and Jade King Carroll (also the artistic director), and the project is produced by project creators Kate Pines and Sharyn Rothstein, artistic producer Shira Milikowsky, and managing producer Hope Chavez.
Whether or not you can make it on 1/14, please read more about the project (which is only kicking off that night), and share as you see fit. Here’s that link again: https://www.thepussygrabberplays.com
And that’s part 1 —
more news to come in part 2 of the multi-part* 2019 new year’s post.
* I don’t know how many parts it will be. maybe it will be only two parts. maybe it will be three. possibly four. tbd.
